ICLEI World Congress 2015

Seoul, Republic of Korea
The ICLEI World Congress 2015 will be hosted by Seoul Metropolitan Government (Republic of Korea), a long-term and active Member of ICLEI.

The Congress takes place every three years and presents mayors, local government politicians and staff, representatives from international agencies, national governments, donors and other partners with the opportunity for peer exchanges, knowledge-sharing, capacity building and on-site visits and exhibits.

The event will provide local governments with the practical solutions they need to take home, to adapt and to accelerate towards their sustainability goals.

Seoul will welcome members, partners, global strategists and experts, academics and NGOs from 8-12 April 2015.

Città sostenibili: cosa fanno altre comunità in Europa?

Incontro pubblico con due città del nord Europa attive nel Piano d’Azione per l’Energia Sostenibile e nelle politiche per la sostenibilità.
- Città di Borås, SVEZIA
- Città di Skanderborg, DANIMARCA

La Commissione Europea ha finanziato il progetto Escar (European strategic partnership for Sustainable Consumption and Awareness Raising), di cui il Comune di Santorso è partner, presentato dalla città svedese di Borås nell’ambito del programma europeo Erasmus + Key Action 2 (Cooperation and Innovation for Good Practices).

Ad aprile 2015 i partner del progetto saranno ospiti a Santorso: un’occasione per conoscere le attività e le iniziative promosse dalle città del nord Europa per la sostenibilità e la riduzione dell’impronta ecologica.
L’incontro sarà in inglese con traduzione consecutiva in italiano.

Engaging communities in SEAPs´ implementation

Mayors in Action - Webinar Series

Engaging citizens and citizen-led initiatives when implementing sustainable energy actions and policies can help to reduce opposition to renewable energy within the community, increase energy efficiency through behavioral change, and can support leveraging local private investments that would not be available otherwise.
The webinar will discuss best practices on how to engage communities in implementing actions and measures included in Sustainable Energy Action Plans.

The event is organised in the framework of the Mayors in Action project.
